"Distant New Orleans" Official Lyrics

Distant New Orleans

Ahh, Ahh.

I had to do it.
I am flying.
Flying over to New Orleans.
I’m flying.
Can you be there with me?

Oh.

Can you hear me?
Through the noise of that city street.
Can you see me?
From those city skyscrapers.

Hmm, Hmm.

Where are you now?
Waiting for me?
To come and have.
A long life with me.
Here in New Orleans.

Can you see me?
Through the steam of the cover lids.

Oh.

Can you see me?
From your window view.

Ahh, Ahh.

When you are here.
Here, embrace with me.
Trust me, I will keep you.
Keep you from any harm.

Ahh, Ahh.

I’ll always be with you.
You don't need to fear; I won't fly again.
I am with you,
On the not-so-distant New Orleans.

New Orleans.

The city for us to be.

Eh, Eh, Ahh, Ahh.
